He completed his neurology residency at Riverside Community Hospital and the University of California, Riverside, where he developed a solid foundation in general neurology and acquired extensive hands-on experience in diagnosing and managing neurological conditions. His residency training emphasized the importance of a thorough clinical approach, allowing him to cultivate strong relationships with his patients, which is a hallmark of his practice.

Driven by a passion for neuromuscular disorders, Dr. Boutros pursued a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles. During this fellowship, he gained specialized training in the intricacies of neuromuscular diseases, including electromyography, nerve conduction studies, and advanced treatment modalities. His time at UCLA equipped him with the skills needed to provide care to patients suffering from a variety of neuromuscular conditions, including myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophies and neuropathies.
